Fall break for college students is typically a time of rest and relaxation amid a busy semester. But for one group of �۶�app students, fall break meant exactly the opposite, as they traveled to Florida to serve locals impacted by Hurricane Ian.

For Nancy Voorhies, it has always been about people. No matter where she was or what she was doing, people were her priority, although she could have never foreseen how exactly this love of people would play out in her life.

The Christmas season at �۶�app is full of celebration and tradition. A newer tradition held by the university -- the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony -- is an event cherished by the Cedarville community.

Life is like a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow. Bethany Norris, a senior Christian education major at �۶�app from Keedysville, Maryland, learned that truth firsthand as her health took a turn for the worse on Oct. 6, 2021.

Times are changing within the political landscape, and many are beginning to ask, “What is conservatism?” Long believed to be a set political thought, the label “conservatism” could be changing.

Sandlund, Martin, and Baker answer the “why” behind nursing education. It is not merely a profession; it is not just a calling. It’s a sacrifice for Jesus Christ.

“�۶�app-trained nurses are amazing!” I hear it all the time. Medical professionals desire to hire our students; they know there is a difference in our nursing graduates. That’s why many students have multiple job offers before they ever walk across the graduation stage. But what is the difference? What makes a Cedarville-trained nurse so amazing?

More than 40 years ago, God placed a desire to start a Christian nursing program in the hearts and minds of �۶�app Leadership. Then, one by one, He brought godly faculty member to the then-college to make it happen. Cedarville Magazine reached out to these founding faculty members to hear about their experiences.

In 2011, the �۶�app School of Nursing (SON) welcomed its first Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) cohort of approximately 20 students. Just 11 years later, we welcomed 168 new and returning students.

For �۶�app sophomore Elizabeth Kollmar, her passion for making films always seemed like an unattainable career. But, after a class project led to an award ceremony, the dream no longer seems out of reach.

Even at a young age, Jim Mellick was artistically gifted. His Middle School teachers would often ask him to complete drawings to help illustrates lessons during school.

�۶�app’s 2022 Veterans Day Chapel will take place in the Dixon Ministry Center at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 11.
