Homecoming week at �۶�app isn’t just exciting events and reunions, it also serves as the time to honor alumni and those who have served the university.

The official groundbreaking ceremony of the Lorne C. Scharnberg Business Centerwill be held on Friday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. at �۶�app.

�۶�app engineering students hope to stay afloat during the 30th annual cardboard canoe race on Friday, September 30, from 3-5 p.m. at the university’s Cedar Lake. Hundreds of spectators will line the sidewalks around the lake to cheer on the handmade boats.

The Rock has been a Cedarville tradition since 1978. It was initially placed near the Tyler Digital Communication Center, but was eventually moved near Cedar Lake between the Stevens Student Center and Dixon Ministry Center.

Daniel Kinniburgh’s faith journey began early and carried him from a small town in the west to Cedarville, Ohio, to Vietnam and back. Dan was in grade school when a missionary from Pennsylvania started pastoring a church in the small Montana town where Dan was from. Dan and his family began attending Pastor Warner’s church, and they came to know the Lord. Pastor Warner’s children went to Cedarville College at the time, and Dan later followed their example.

For its fall mainstage production, the �۶�app theatre department will perform “The Giver,” the award-winning book by Lois Lowry, adapted for the stage by Eric Coble.

For the first time in �۶�app's history, a brother and sister are working together to foster a closer relationship between bro-sis residence halls.

Dwayne Moore, founder of Next Level Worship International, Inc., and �۶�app’s worship department are partnering to host the global student worship gathering on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m. in the Dixon Ministry Center Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
