As artificial intelligence (AI) promises to transform higher education, professors are wrestling with the best ways to integrate the technology into their classrooms while ethically navigating how the advanced technology helps or hinders their students’ learning.

�۶�app has been awarded a grant from the National Security Agency (NSA) to host the GenCyber cybersecurity camp this summer, June 23-27. Designed for rising high school seniors, the camp aims to ignite and sustain interest in cybersecurity, a field critical to national security and economic stability. Applications are open until March 1.

Chloe Hunt, a 2023 graduate of �۶�app, serves as an assistant producer for Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she identifies and interviews guests for their flagship program, Focus on the Family With Jim Daly.

�۶�app’s cyber operations program continues to earn national recognition for its educational excellence and high-level partnerships. Now, one of its leaders is helping to pioneer cyber operations education across the country.

Helping children better understand the Bible is the focus of the new “Armor of God Bible” released February 18 by Thomas Nelson Publishing. �۶�app’s Dr. Kevin Jones, dean of the school of education, provided study helps for the Bible.

Celebrating 20 years, 38 semesters and 109 films, �۶�app’s Foreign Film Series will mark its 20th anniversary on Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. in the DeVries Theatre. The series will feature “Life Is Beautiful,” the same movie that started the program in 2005.

Graduates from the theater program at �۶�app, a southwest Ohio university ranked by the Wall Street Journal as one of the nation’s top three evangelical universities, have proven that a small program yields big results through a 100% placement rate of 2023-24 graduates.

How would you react if an unexpected cancer diagnosis meant you only had six months to live? Dr. Will Smallwood, who is leading �۶�app’s $175 million fundraising campaign as vice president for advancement, can answer that question through personal experience.

Deputy Patrol Agent in Charge Jerami Cheatwood, who earned a degree in management from �۶�app, began his career with the Border Patrol in 2009. He oversees the operations of 280 agents in an effort to secure the southern border while also ministering as a chaplain within the agency.

It was a sweet victory for �۶�app’s forensics team at the 2025 Ohio Forensics Association State Championship. In claiming the state championship, Cedarville’s team took the top spot in the categories of both speech and debate.

After years of battling cystic acne and testing countless products with little success, Alex Simons, a junior marketing major at �۶�app, took matters into her own hands. She created “Skin Safe,” an innovative app that helps users navigate skincare.

Stepping onto the tournament stage for the first time during the 2025 Spring semester, �۶�app’s forensics team wasted no time making an impact. The team earned 12 first place wins.
