Registering for Classes

How to Register for Classes

All current students who plan to enroll for Summer 2026 and/or Fall 2026 should register for classes before leaving campus at the end of spring semester 2026.

  1. In myCU, sign the .
  2. Visit to view your registration date and time.
  3. Create your schedule plan in Student Planning.
    • In the left hand menu, go to Academics, Student Planning, and Plan and Schedule.
    • Go to the timeline tab to create your four-year plan.
  4. Connect with your advisor to discuss your schedule and select course sections.
  5. Click “Register” to activate your schedule in Student Planning after your registration time opens and after receiving advisor approval.
  6. Verify that your schedule is accurate in your Student Planning account.

Find your specific registration date and time by visiting Student Planning. Classification is determined by the total hours complete at the time of registration.

Self-registration through Student Planning for undergraduate residential students ends on Friday, August 21, at 5 p.m.

How to Use Student Planning

Online Classes

Priority registration students, seniors, and juniors may register for up to ONE online course through Student Planning, on a space-available basis, through the end of the junior registration period.

After the junior registration period, all students needing one or more online courses must complete an .

Classes That Are Full

Fall semester courses that are full will be managed with the waitlist process. If a course that you would like to take is full, please add yourself to the waitlist in Student Planning.

The Office of the Registrar will manage moving students from the waitlist as spots are made available or at a professor's request. Please watch your email for instructions if a spot becomes available for you.

On Friday, August 7, at 5 p.m., the waitlist will be shut off and the Registration Approval Request form will be used (available in the Office of the Registrar).

Financial Information

The first payment is due on August 5, 2026. Accounts paid after this time are considered late and are subject to a $25 late penalty. Your financial aid is reflected on your current student account activity page. You may view your student account balance and current bill through . To do this, search "View Student Account."

Tuition Block for Undergraduate Students
Tuition block is 12–17 credits. Additional tuition is charged starting at 17.5 credits.

Payment Methods

  • Check: Make your check payable to Ă۶ąapp and write the student's seven-digit ID# on the check.
  • Credit Card: Most major credit cards are accepted with a 2.7% fee.
  • Electronic Payment: In , search for "View Student Account/Pay Bill."

How to Use Student Planning

Current students will use Student Planning to register for classes. Prior to the registration period, students should update their academic plan in Student Planning, and they must sign the .

Registration times are assigned for all current students according to classification and completed credits. You may view your registration start date and time in Student Planning. Also, your academic advisor must approve you to register before you may activate your course schedule. Remember, you may register any time after the beginning of your assigned registration time.
