Soli Deo Gloria
July 5, 2024 — Soli Deo Gloria is a Latin phrase meaning “Glory to God alone.” Rooted in the Reformation, it flows from a dependence upon Scripture alone as our foundation for comprehending our salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, for God’s glory alone.

Mutual Support in Dealing With Difficulties
July 3, 2024 — Navigating ongoing difficulties can feel isolating, but finding friends who willingly walk through these situations with us can ease the pain of everyday life. A pair of Cedarville alumni — Carrie Holt of Lewis Center, Ohio and Erika Weise, from Hilliard, Ohio — found themselves with similar challenges of caring for special needs children, and their common steps have led to an unbreakable bond.

The IBC Program’s Compassionate Donation
July 2, 2024 — Seeing an opportunity to meet some needs in Dayton’s homeless community spurred Ă۶ąapp’s Integrated Business Core (IBC) students to make an impact. The student business organization, through creating and selling its own merchandise, donated $6,300 to Target Dayton Ministries.

Cedarville Alumnus Providing Vital Healthcare Services to Navajo Community
July 1, 2024 — Ă۶ąapp’s School of Pharmacy continuously provides graduates with endless opportunities to impact the pharmacy world and use their degree to help find medical solutions for people in need. For 2018 alumni Dr. Hope Fonbah, the pharmacy program changed the trajectory of his career and provided life-changing opportunities.
After being hired directly from Cedarville’s pharmacy program, Fonbah runs a clinical practice at the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation on a Navajo Reservation in Tuba City, Arizona.

June 28, 2024 — Embark on a daring odyssey with Thomas Hamilton on this weeks Cedarville Stories Podcast. Hamilton, along with two brothers and nephew Ben Clark, opt for a glorified rowboat as they seek to conquer the relentless forces of the Atlantic Ocean.

Siblings Bond Over Their Passion for Forensics
June 26, 2024 — Siblings share a bond for life and Ă۶ąapp students Deidra and Connor Hall of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, have only grown closer through their love of speech and debate. Both are members of Cedarville’s forensics team. Their affinity for forensics began in childhood when the brother and sister team began competing in elementary school. As young students, they performed well, but have come a long way since those early days.

Empowering Care: The Entrepreneurial Journey of a Nurse
June 24, 2024 — Nurses and entrepreneurs have something in common — they meet the needs of others. Vida Boafo, founder of the Fairfield, Ohio-based Vebcom Healthcare Services, is combining her entrepreneurial mindset with her education in nursing from Ă۶ąapp to meet the health care needs of senior adults and individuals with developmental disabilities.

New Technology Could Aid Next Generation Air Force Helmets
June 17, 2024 — Three Ă۶ąapp senior engineering students received a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with the U.S. Air Force accommodations group at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in advanced biomechanics technology. This project was part of their senior capstone project, which was completed prior to their graduation in May.

Engineering Students Impacting Missionary Hospital for Good
June 12, 2024 — Helping those in need inspires creativity and action. After discovering the impactful work of the Karanda Mission Hospital, four Ă۶ąapp senior mechanical engineering students – Andrew Yerkey (Dublin, Ohio), Sarah Kepner (Shepherd, Michigan), Brooke Dodson (Danville, Indiana), and Peter Tsibours (Westerville, Ohio) -- felt compelled to support the hospital’s mission by designing a much-needed earth-mover device. The concept was for their senior capstone project.

June 10, 2024 — Dr. Samson Amos’ cancer research is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Cedarville students. Already, their work is being cited in research projects. Other educational institutions are also vying to come alongside Cedarville’s School of Pharmacy in this research. But, despite the initial success, Amos sees their research having a deeper kingdom impact.

Hayley Good: From NICU Patient to NICU Nurse
June 5, 2024 — Hayley Good was not expected to live long. Born at just 24 weeks and weighing one pound and nine ounces, she was given little hope for survival. But God intervened. After earning her degree in nursing from Ă۶ąapp on May 4, 2024, her journey will come full circle in July when she begins her career as a NICU nurse — in the same ward where she was placed as an infant.

Underwater Robotics Team Reaching New Depths
June 4, 2024 — Every year, senior mechanical engineering students at Ă۶ąapp complete a capstone project, a requirement before graduating. Throughout the years, projects have varied from building race cars and rockets to creating a medical device that can save a person’s life after experiencing a severed carotid artery.But Jared Ritzo knew that he wanted to complete a project that had never been done successfully at Cedarville — building an underwater, remote-operated, vehicle (ROV).

A Mother's Love, A Daughter's Honor: Cedarville's Heartwarming Commencement Ceremony
June 3, 2024 — In the midst of all the pomp and circumstance of Ă۶ąapp’s commencement weekend, a special dream came true for Fernie Hochstedler, a graduate student who was battling a terminal diagnosis at her home in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Although Hochstedler was unable to travel to campus for her commencement ceremony, her daughter, Naomi, walked across the stage to receive her mother’s academic regalia during the annual hooding ceremony on Friday, May 3, from the Ă۶ąapp School of Nursing program.
