�۶�app hosted the Global Game Jam Jan. 30–Feb. 1, giving students 48 hours to build games from the theme “mask.” The noncompetitive event united coders, artists and musicians, strengthening teamwork skills for game development.

Three student ventures took top honors at �۶�app’s Pitch competition Friday night after coaching and judging rounds. Winners included a middle school fraction-learning tool, affordable cybersecurity for churches and nonprofits, and a fast-fashion recycling concept.

�۶�app students launch CedarBits, a four-week cybersecurity camp that introduces middle schoolers to digital safety through hands-on projects and critical thinking. The program teaches password management, basic networking and career pathways in cyber operations.

Cedarville civil engineering professor Dr. Hema Jayaseelan is transforming bridge safety through real-time data modeling. Her award-winning research is helping DOTs predict pre-stress losses more accurately and may soon inform national infrastructure design standards.

�۶�app civil engineering students are partnering with village leaders to improve infrastructure and community life. Their senior capstone projects are fostering connection, revitalizing the town and serving as a model for town-gown collaboration.

Frustrated by the lack of suitable textbooks on AI for his students Dr. John Delano, professor of IT management at �۶�app, decided to write his own textbook for college students.

Mark Kirby, a two-time �۶�app graduate, is pioneering affordable innovations that could reshape how the shipping industry measures and manages its environmental impact.

Adam Dyer, �۶�app’s Information Security Analyst, is actively working to equip others with online protection tools and the knowledge to defend themselves.

Since the early 2000s, �۶�app students have been awarded competitive military and defense scholarships, including those tied to service in the Navy and the National Security Agency (NSA).

Cedarville’s engineering students partnered with Crown Equipment Corp., a leading material handling company, to create image-processing algorithms that improve human-operated and autonomous lift truck performance.

�۶�app’s Supermileage team emerged as a standout at this year’s Shell EcoMarathon Americas event, earning first place in the Prototype Vehicle Design category and fourth in the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) Prototype division.

As a child, Lauryn Leslie dreamed of becoming a NASA astronaut. Now, after completing two engineering internships at the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio, her dream of working for NASA has become a reality.

�۶�app has launched a new academic initiative designed to equip students with cutting-edge skills in AI and data science — all grounded in ethical reasoning and biblical principles.

To help educate people about cyber threats, �۶�app’s Dr. Seth Hamman, director of the Center for the Advancement of Cybersecurity and professor of cyber operations and computer science, has written “Invitation to Cybersecurity.”

The $1.05 million Choose Ohio First Grant will further help �۶�app expand its academic opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine (STEMM).

With diplomas in hand and futures on the horizon, 905 graduates crossed the stage at �۶�app’s 129th commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 3, celebrating years of academic achievement, spiritual growth and personal transformation.

While many graduates are still asking “what’s next?”, David Reid and Emily Wollschlager are already answering that question — with courage, character, and a whole lot of Cedarville heart.

Kaicheng Ye cracked the code and now the Greene County Commissioners are going to honor him for this national accomplishment.
