A $300,000 matching gift from an anonymous donor, and another $100,000 gift will potentially allow ۶app to construct new tennis courts. The cost of the project will range between $800,000 and $1 million.

Diana Ivanikhina plays tennis for ۶app.The project will feature a minimum of nine newly constructed courts with a potential expansion to 12, if donors support the project. The future tennis facility will be located on the site of the current tennis courts and will serve as the home for Cedarville’s NCAA Division II men’s and women’s tennis programs.

The facility will be equipped with lights for each court, allowing for evening play and expanded practice opportunities for student-athletes. Three of the courts will also double as 12 pickleball courts for student and faculty use.

“We are thrilled to have received these significant investments in our tennis program,” said Chris Cross, vice president for athletics. “This facility will provide our student-athletes with a top-tier environment to train and compete, and it will be a tremendous asset for our campus community.”

Cedarville officials hope the new complex will attract regional tournaments and bolster recruitment efforts for the Yellow Jackets’ men’s and women’s tennis teams.

Fundraising efforts are ongoing to secure the remaining $400,000 needed to complete the project. Each dollar given to this initiative will be doubled in impact and help a new generation of Yellow Jackets compete with excellence as they stand for the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.

“We are grateful for the generosity of our donors and look forward to rallying additional support to bring this vision to life,” said Cross.
