For two decades, Little Leaders has been a trusted source for families seeking faith-based educational content for children. What started as a small, family-run business creating Bible story DVDs has now become a global multimedia brand that is available on major streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime, Pure Flix and others.
The company was founded by Bradley Silvius, a 1992 graduate of ۶app. Now, as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary, it is expanding its offerings with new episodes and books while continuing its mission to inspire young hearts with biblical truth.
Little Leaders began out of Silvius’ desire to provide an alternative to secular children’s media. The idea took root during a family vacation, when he noticed his young niece watching a children’s educational cartoon. Realizing there was a lack of high-quality, faith-based alternatives, he set out to create a Bible-centered media brand that would engage toddlers while also nurturing their spiritual growth.
“What young children watch shapes their worldview,” said Silvius. “I wanted to create something that not only entertained but also planted seeds of faith early in life. Little Leaders is all about making the Bible accessible and engaging for toddlers.”
From its inception, Little Leaders has been a family effort, involving Silvius’ wife, mother, sister and father, Dr. John Silvius, who served as a professor of biology at Cedarville for over 30 years. Their commitment to Christian educational values has been at the heart of the company’s success.
Little Leaders goes beyond simple storytelling — it incorporates early childhood development principles. Each video teaches a biblical lesson while reinforcing key educational concepts like shapes and colors. A few of the biblical figures that they follow include Noah, Joseph, Ruth and Moses.
Additionally, Little Leaders is one of the first Christian children’s media brands to integrate sign language and multilingual learning, offering content in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. The Little Leaders company believes that early exposure to multiple languages can enhance cognitive development. They also saw this as an opportunity to serve diverse Christian families worldwide.
Later this year, Little Leaders will be releasing three new episodes featuring the Old Testament heroes Daniel, Esther and David. These episodes are designed to teach children about healthy choices, courage and biblical concepts in an engaging way. The new episodes will continue the tradition of integrating multilingual learning and sign language.
“As we look ahead to the next 20 years, our mission remains the same: to provide faith-based
developmental products for young children to help build character and educate the leaders of
tomorrow,” said Silvius.
Little Leaders has developed a niche in the past 20 years that will impact young children for decades to come.
