Biography

Nathanael joined the library faculty in 2019. He is an avid naturalist and educator, classically trained as a biologist and environmental scientist with study focus in botany and ecology. Prior to ÃÛ¶¹app, he served as a faculty member of Northwest Indian College on the Laq'temish (Lummi) Nation reservation in Bellingham, WA. He began his career as the Youth & Volunteer Programs Coordinator/Educator for the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest with the U.S. Forest Service and with the National Forest Foundation as an AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow.

ÃÛ¶¹app has been and continues to be one of the single most influential communities of believers in my life. This is home for me. I was born and raised in Cedarville, I met my wife here, I earned my first degree of higher education here, and I found most of my lifelong friends and mentors here. In short, I am here to return the favor and play my part in positively influencing the next generation of Christian scholars for the glory of God.
