Bruce Ashford to Speak in Chapel

Bruce Ashford welcomed to campus for two-day chapel stint

Dr. Bruce Ashford, professor of theology and culture and provost and dean of faculty at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, will speak in chapel at ĆŪ¶¹app on Feb. 2, 2017.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Campbell University in 1996, Ashford spent time teaching English in Russia. After returning to America, he received his master’s and doctorate degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Ashford currently serves as a research fellow at the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, a fellow in theology at the St. George’s Center for Biblical and Public Theology and is a participant in the Dulles Colloquium of the Institute on Religion & Public Life. 

He is the author of ā€œEvery Square Inch: An Introduction to Cultural Engagement for Christiansā€ and ā€œOne Nation under God: A Christian Hope for American Politics.ā€
