About the BS in Sport Medicine + MAT Accelerated Option
Why Study Sport Medicine + MAT at Cedarville?
ĆŪ¶¹app offers an accelerated BS in sport medicine + MAT option, allowing you to complete both degrees in just five years!
As an incoming freshman, you can start Cedarvilleās BS in sport medicine program and move into the Master of Athletic Training portion of the degree after three years. The BS in sport medicine curriculum is designed so that your senior year overlaps with the first year of the MAT program. When you're admitted into the MAT program, you'll be able to complete a BS in sport medicine, a Bible minor, and a Master of Athletic Training degree in five years, saving you time and money as you prepare for a career in athletic training.
The MAT program will equip you to pass the National Athletic Trainers Association - Board of Certification (NATA-BOC) national exam to become a Certified Athletic Trainer. Through exceptional classroom teaching and real-world, hands-on experiences, Cedarvilleās MAT will train you as an effective athletic trainer who serves with Christlike compassion. Plus, Cedarvilleās program is one of the few distinctly Christian MAT programs in the country.
If you already hold a bachelor's degree and have completed the necessary prerequisites, the MAT is also offered as a two-year stand-alone program.
